Hello 2020
So I've been slacking BIG time!
I've been thinking about this blog and the purpose behind it. Ultimately, I'm hoping that in a decade or so I'll be able to look back and read about all the memories I documented. Maybe one of my kids will stumble on it and read it to their kids, that'd pretty cool.
We had such a busy December filled with tons of friends and close family, I feel so blessed to be able to have made such great memories with them.
One of my good friends T kicked off a small business this year Southern Pour, a DFW based mobile bar. I was fortunate to be able to show some love and support at one of her last events in 2019. I'm so proud of her and wish her and the hubs nothing but good fortune and success. You don't see many people take a leap of faith the way they have, so good for her for being so courageous and following her dreams!

Later that same day, I traveled further west to support my newly married friend S. She recently bought a house with her new husband so I quickly jumped on Etsy and sent her a customized gift, cause that's what good friends do. I absolutely adore her, I've seen her go through some real rough patches in life and come out on top. Mostly, she's a great person and I love her to pieces! She's learned and grown a ton in the last decade and for that I will always commend her. I have never known anyone who needed to be saved as badly as she did and ended up becoming her own hero.
Next up, the Annual Ladies Christmas Dinner. These chicas are something else, every year I sit by someone new and learn a little more about the group. This was my 9th year going and although I've spent plenty of time with the core group it's always fun to meet new ladies and build a network of diverse Latinas. The core group of friends grew up with each other and I met them through my very close friend J. It took her a little while to come around and warm up to me, but when she did I knew we'd be friends forever. Nearly 10 years ago, J was the first person in DFW that resembled FAMILY. I love me some J!
This year we hosted our first Christmas gathering "C Pachanga" for our closest DFW friends and a few family members. We miss out on the people here we've grown to know and love during the holidays, especially since we make the trip back to the Panhandle every year. I was beyond excited and appreciative that my oldest and dearest friend J made the trip down to attend and help me out. She is literally one of my favorite persons on earth and I've been blessed to have had her in my life for decades! We had tons of fun and I hope this will become a new tradition for us!

Last but never least...

My babies turned TWENTY-ONE! As most parents say, I can't believe how fast this day came. It literally feels like I was just taking them house to house to sell GS cookies and now they can buy me wine. We celebrated their special day on NYE, we had a full house of kids (twenty something year old's) and rang in the New Year with our baby girls.
