It's nearly Spring...

Image
So it’s nearly Spring and a quarter of the year is almost over. We’ve already had several guests this year including my parents and in-laws who just left today. So far the girl’s have been invited to multiple b-day parties all of which “The Quad” have partaken in. I’m terribly anxious for Spring Break, where I will indulge in some major R&R. Not before I make the trip home to drop the kiddos off with Mother and Father and celebrate a much needed GNO. I’m hoping the hubby's schedule changes soon so that he can make the trip with me, seeing as how I dislike driving alone. So we had a great weekend with the in-laws. We always love when family can catch a game, thus providing a larger cheer section:) the girls played an awesome game. We took the family shopping in Allen, the outlet mall to be exact. Today we will hangout and watch movies, its cloudy cause it rained earlier so that’s my excuse!!!

New year...fresh start :)

This year has gotten off to a slow start. This being good, we haven’t had much drama and we’re sticking to our everyday routines. We brought in the New Year at R and P’s…thank goodness for them. They really go out of their way to welcome us as immediate family. We finished up football season and were bummed that the Cowboy’s didn’t go all the way…they still did better than expected. Bubba has been working out during off season and has spent a ton of time with the hubby’s new BFF “M” aka cousin S fiancĂ©. I’ve made a few changes myself and have ventured out on a quest to get healthy. I’ve tried losing weight in the past and have been partially successful, but this time I want to change my eating habits for good. I realize the older I get, the harder it will be to lose weight or keep up with my teens for that matter. My kids are so active, something they surely didn’t pick up from me, I don’t want to be a hypocrite by encouraging them to eat healthy and work harder all while stan...

Playing Catch Up...

Wow...where did the time go! It's almost been a whole year since my last post and I have a ton of catching up to do. I think we went home every month last spring, it's always nice to go home and see family and friends. Our first trip was in March when we did the Spring Break kid switch and the second was the roadtrip home for Easter. We spent Easter weekend with family and friends, and made sure to make it to all the annual egg hunts. It was fun to see N and A partake in their first official egg hunt. As we neared the end of April we spent our weekend's home in Plano or at b-day parties! May was a busy month! I had a lovely Mother's day spent exactly how I wanted, doing nothing at all. My mother-in-law came down to visit, but I think she just needed a break :) She was just one of our many visitors that month. J and A came down to purchase a new luxury car, we broke it in that night out on the town. I hate surprise visits, but can't complain when it comes t...
