My Busy Weekend

So we had an awesome time last nite with the R family. I'm so happy we finally got the chance to meet up and have dinner. I can't say I was nervous but I was a little concerned on whether or not we would be able to hold a conversation after all these years. I was stoked that the guys got along well too and hope that we can get together often. The highlight of the night was by far their gorgeous one year old daughter. She stole the night from the moment we got there carefully observing every detail about the strangers her parents were so friendly with. I've never seen such a small child be so cautious about who she befriended. She demanded both her parents attention, particularly while performing "Where is Thumb Kin". What a cutie!

The girls had another party today at 1pm. I dropped them off and ran to the store to buy a gift for both her and Hubby's cousin R. When I got back to the party the kids were ready to perform. I slid in line with a few other parents and watch the kids rock out on a set of drums, bass guitar, and a mic. It was cool to see the girls partaking on what I hope well not be a new hobby, did I mention how LOUD it was. I started to gather the girls when a mother pulled me to the side to request my number for yet another PLAYDAY. We ran a few errands, stopped at home to pack a bag, and made it back for a sleepover. We stopped at Walgreens to pickup some soap and wondered off to the toys aisle where they found these great deals on HSM and Hannah Montana stuff. It didn't take long to get all their new gear on the wall, thus completely transforming their room into a shrine. Hubby and I just watched the Titans get booted from the playoffs and are now preparing to hit a bar or two with some of his co-workers. Well kind of, I'm sitting here blogging while watching Stepmom, I love this movie. We can't stay out too late, seeing as how I have to pick up the girls at 8am...YIKES!

We've got a b-day BBQ tomorrow afternoon. Hubby's cousin R turned forty-four and were gonna join the family in celebrating. I hope to make it to church tomorrow, we should have plenty of time since I have to pick up the girls so early. The girls have another soccer game at 7pm...woohoo! We've already signed up for next season with the same team. This is the first year the girls actually attend school with their teammates, so it makes for a tighter team. We absolutely love SOCCER and hope the girls will enjoy playing for a while!

Oh crap...Practical Magic is showing next. We may not go out tonite!
